Working closely with a range of agencies, she has managed the design
and facilitation of a range of workshops, conferences and symposia. These
have included national conferences and forums for prominent National
Lobby Groups; a national conference involving 450 staff for a large Commonwealth
agency; and stakeholder consultations involving all segments of the Childcare
Industry for a Commonwealth Agency and the relevant Minister and other
Commonwealth and state representatives. Her work has included advising
and reporting to Commonwealth Ministers, CEOs and Boards; co-designing
hypotheticals with media personalities; training co-facilitators and advising
and coaching keynote speakers.
Designing and facilitating the Educational segment for the Regional
Summit convened by the Deputy Prime Minister in October 1999. Her task
involved working with a range of academics, community representatives
and educators to develop, in a relatively short period of time, a set
of recommendations which she presented to the Summit on the group’s
behalf. This required the effective distillation of a wide range of issues
into a succinct and realistic set of recommendations which reflected the
needs of all the stakeholders.
Working with a large Commonwealth Agency facilitating discussions
and reporting on a key area of Commonwealth/State social policy. This
involved facilitating a workshop with significant competing views being
represented, from academics, representatives of business, industry and
community sectors and representatives from all levels of government.
Facilitating an extensive range of discussions for a Commonwealth
Agency in consulting with business and industry representatives and industry
associations and consultants to establish more effective networks and
promote an understanding of how to optimise industry networks. This work
led to Di being invited to undertake similar work in New Zealand. Working as a facilitator for a high
profile Statutory Authority on two long term assignments involving the
management of on-going consultations with stakeholders in industry, industry
associations and small business.
Di conducts a two day residential Masterclass in Facilitation and Representational
Skills, and another two day residential, Executive Impact, which is designed
to enhance participants’ ability to be heard and have impact in
their leadership roles. She is currently designing one on Whole of Government.
